When we met Fei and Changlei earlier this year we instantly knew we really wanted to be the photographers for their wedding day. They both share an avid love for photography and were clearly passionate about having the most beautiful record of their day. Luckily they felt the same about us and soon we were excitedly laying the plans for their engagement session in Oxford.
We explored the beautiful city with them, visiting its landmarks steeped in history. The light on this warm summer’s evening was simply alluring and it seemed the whole of Oxford had come out to play. Amidst the hustle and bustle of sun worshippers, cyclists, walkers, rowers and punters we found a lovely and peaceful spot in Christ Church meadow alongside the river. In these quieter moments we had the opportunity to get to know Fei and Changlei, see the ease with which they laugh together and the effortless confidence they exude around each other.
Both very accomplished Fei is completing her Master of Science at Oxford University in Applied linguistics and Changlei runs his own engineering based consultancy company. They both love to travel and experience new places, which is why they have ended up living so far from family and friends in China. Many of their relatives and friends are traveling that great distance to be here for the wedding. Fei and Changlei have planned to show them around Oxford whilst celebrating the happiness of the occasion with them!
Weddings are a time filled with love especially as they are so often an opportunity for families to reunite. We can’t wait for Fei and Changlei’s upcoming Oxford college wedding, to learn more of their culture and traditions and witness all their loved ones joining in celebration.
