From the day Kristin and Andy caught each others eye across the office it was inevitable that they would start dating. Oxfordshire boy Andy instantly fell for this Kiwi lass and gave Kristin a reason to make England her permanent home. It is really in the moments between moments that you can see what a perfect match they are. Illustrated when Kristin’s thoughtful disposition breaks into laughter at Andy’s constant witty and off the wall humour or when a gentle brush of hands can convey so much of their love. They share a connection that grounds them yet is light and free-spirited.
When Andy decided to propose he thought the perfect time would be the day they moved into their first house together. As the day arrived he soon realised that the myriad of boxes and exhaustion from moving had somewhat thwarted the anticipated romance of the occasion. Maybe in a couple of days the perfect opportunity would arise. As the days rolled by and the unpacking over exerted them both this ideal moment was looking scarce. Andy soon realised that it was not about finding one faultless moment but rather celebrating sharing the entirety of their lives together. Andy asked Kristin to marry him and of course she said yes.
Kristin and Andy’s Milton Hill House wedding in Oxfordshire was elegant yet very relaxed. Only a Bride as organised and composed as Kristin could arrange such a well put together day with her maid of honour living in California and her mum and two bridesmaids in Australia. Kristin took everyone’s breath away, her look graceful and her natural beauty accentuated and effortless. Witnessing their happiness that day was a true honour and we are grateful to Kristin and Andy for allowing us to photograph their joy on this wonderful occasion.
We loved spending the morning before the ceremony with both the Bride & Groom as they prepared for the events to come. With all the girls (friends, sister, mum and aunt) united to support Kristin on her big day the atmosphere was fantastic. Having set aside plenty of time for photography we got to take some beautiful portraits as well as capture all the natural moments that of course unfolded.
Andy was a very relaxed Groom and as always we had a great time with him, capturing the exhilarating moments before he would see Kristin walk down the aisle.
One of our favourite photos; Kristin radiant and laughing as she joined her beaming husband to be, her mum by her side and bridesmaids right behind all smiling and completely happy in this moment.
After the a few cocktails and canapés we got to whisk Andy and Kristin away from their guests for a short while to soak in the moment and take some photographs in the lovely grounds of Milton Hill House. A second portrait session later in the day allowed as to maximise time for photos and allow our couple time with their guests. We loved spending this time with Kristin and Andy to really capture their emotions and happiness and it is wonderful how relaxed and comfortable they could be with us and just enjoy this time together.
