We are so delighted to see Nicola and Peter’s fragrant pink garden wedding at Le Manoir published in Brides Magazine! Their wedding in the romantic walled gardens of this stunning Oxford wedding venue exuded a soft elegance that stole our hearts. The editorial team loved our couple’s use of dusky peaches and pinks that complimented the English garden setting. Loose and textured florals added to the relaxed yet luxurious vibe of the day. Our beautiful couple stole the show followed closely by Nicola’s racehorse who made a guest appearance on the day. It is such an honour to see our work published and we are so appreciative to our fabulous couples who are a very big part in making this happen. You can see Nicola and Peter’s Le Manoir wedding in the May/June 2017 issue of Brides Magazine or see more from their wedding on our journal!

For our final I Do’s of 2016 we had the honour of photographing Nada and James’s Barnsley House destination wedding. It was a beautiful and intimate occasion. Although Nada and James hail from Scotland and Oman they first met at school in the faraway reaches of South Africa. Both have since lived all across the world and have formed close friendships wherever they have been. This therefore was the perfect occasion to get everyone together for an unforgettable celebration. James and Nada currently reside in Kathmandu and decided to bring the flavours of Nepal to the Cotswold countryside. Their shared love of music was also infused into the day. Culture and music created a magical atmosphere for Nada and James’s romantic Barnsley House wedding. Amidst all the pretty what stood out the most was the spirit of kindness and depth of character that both Nada and James shared. We wish these two beautiful souls a lifetime of happiness and love together…

Nada spent the wedding morning at James’s parents countryside abode not far from Barnsley House.

The bluesy sounds of B.B. King, a thoughtful Christmas gift from James, created a soulful vibe.

Sumptuous bordeaux velvet booties and the lilac notes of Amouage added beautiful sensory touches…

“She walks in beauty, like the night. Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that’s best of dark and bright. Meet in her aspect and her eyes…” -Byron.

Nicola and Peter’s Le Manoir Oxfordshire wedding was bursting with beauty in detail and heart. From our gorgeous couple who said I do, to our Bride’s stunning race horse Max who made a surprise appearance. Then of course there is the romance of the setting, the never-ending florals and personalised touches that permeated the day. We could not think of a more magical way to celebrate a marriage. Katie and Rob’s Lords of the Manor marquee wedding in the Cotswolds unfolded in exquisite style! Well travelled and worldly our American Bride and British Groom’s friends and family flew in from all across the globe for a weekend in the quaint English countryside. Our couple exchanged their vows in the intimate and characterful church of St Peter’s. A champagne reception at Lords of the Manor, complete with traditional english lawn games, followed suit.  Details were sophisticated and oh so pretty. Calligraphy in sage green combined dreamily with decadent floral arches and arrangements in hues of pink and white. With the formalities completed and food from the Michelin starred kitchen enjoyed the evening transformed into one serious party! We only met Nicki and Tom the week before their wedding. As we recognised each other at Calcot Manor it felt like meeting old friends. Since January countless phone and Skype calls between the UK and Australia had taken place. Each conversation taking indulgently longer than it should as we chatted away about the wedding plans, life and everything in between. We would be having our first morning cuppa in the Cotswolds while Nicki and Tom would be back at their home in Manley after work or yoga practice. Each email from Nicki was excitedly opened. Usually revealing some secret or surprise that Tom or their guests had in store! We were completely beguiled by the vision for their destination wedding in the Cotswolds. Mostly the generosity of spirit with which this couple lived life resonated with us deeply. Their Calcot Manor summer wedding unfolded as fabulously as expected. In person Nicki and Tom were even more warm hearted and fun! Nicola and Tom, we are so thankful our paths crossed with yours. Witnessing your love for life and each other has left us completely inspired…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Cufflinks made from watch mechanisms were Tom’s gift to each Groomsmen.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Tom in turn had his own surprise from Nicki…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

…An amazing Panerai watch!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Tom and the guys looked very stylish in light grey suits and playful black and white ties.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Nicki’s bridal style was oh so romantic; her Charlotte Mills shoes even had a poem inscribed on the sole!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

After months of internet stalking we were most excited to see our Bride’s Moira Hughes dress!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Every aspect was exquisite. From the subtly embossed Italian bodice…to the dramatic bow and raw silk skirt.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Nicki’s beautiful Bridesmaids were by her side all the way; true friends and cheerleaders to our Bride.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Nicki is an avid reader of our journal and heeded all our advice on timings for the morning…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Careful planning meant everyone had time to enjoy themselves AND we got to capture photos like this!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

There are so many wonderful moments to capture…like receiving a beautiful necklace from your husband to be!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Or when the Father of the Bride sees his daughter for the first time on the morning of her wedding.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Nicki’s middle name is Joy and we couldn’t have wished for a more radiant and happy Bride!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Nicki, we are so grateful to you for allowing us to capture all your beauty and joy…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

With the Bridesmaids joining our Bride in white, soft florals in green and peach added just a blush of colour.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

We loved the romantic and delicate details inspired by nature that permeated the day.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Vintage cars transported everyone to the nearby Church in Hawkesbury Upton.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Mist and rain created a sense of atmosphere and a muddy car park invoked a spirit of adventure!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

With horse traffic to contend with too the setting could not have been more idiosyncratically English.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Our Bride made her way up the old stone aisle of St Mary’s on her Father’s arm.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Where Nicki and Tom were became husband and wife!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

We love those first few moments when our couple emerge from the Church as newlyweds.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

The joy of the occasion is completely infectious…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

And everyone joins in the celebration as confetti is thrown with enthusiastic abandon!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Rain could not deter these two as Nicki and Tom made their way back to Calcot Manor…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

…Driving a dashing Jaguar XK12!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Imagecalcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

With champagne poured we enjoyed photographing our good looking bridal party.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Whose reaction when the surprise Mariachi Band turned up hats and all was just the best!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

The Mariachi Men created an instant party atmosphere with their festive and lively performance!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

No one held back from enjoying what must be the best wedding surprise we have ever seen!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

After formal family photos and while guests enjoyed the band it was time for bride and groom portraits.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

When it comes to having a good time Nicki and Tom certainly nailed the brief!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

They really wanted photos that made the most of the breathtaking views at Calcot Manor…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

It was however our gorgeous couple (and that stunning veil!) that made the vista.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

After portraits it was back to the mariachi, pisco sours and champagne!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

A handmade sign directed to all the important destinations near and far, including the bar!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

As the sun appeared the last box was ticked to make Nicki and Tom’s wedding at Calcot Manor a perfect day!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

After their drinks reception at the main house and gardens of Calcor Manor…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Everyone made their way to the beautifully styled Barn for the Wedding Breakfast to commence!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Our couple commissioned the very talented watercolor artist Harriet de Winton to create their paper goods.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Including a bespoke watercolor table plan on canvas inspired by the beaches in Sydney that our couple love.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Lisa Elliott Floral Design created a statement in the Barn at Calcot Manor with a hanging wreath installation.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

A lavender and fern wreath motif wove through the details including the handpainted cake by Curtis & Co.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Guests enjoyed a delicious three course dinner created by the talented Calcot Manor chefs.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Which was followed by animated and heartfelt speeches.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

We stole away to catch the sunset…

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Before heading back to the conservatory at Calcot Manor where Nicki and Tom cut their exquisite cake!

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

After that there was no delay in getting the dancing started and a party that would last well into the night.

calcot-manor-summer-wedding-photo________P I NSite Image

Congrats Nicola and Tom, your wedding showed us how much happiness is possible on a single day!

When Erika and Matt started planning their wedding from the States, a childhood memory provided the inspiration for their Hampton Court Palace destination wedding. As a teenager our Bride spent a number of years living in London down the road from this historical setting. After a little research our couple were astounded to find they could get married in a Palace! Erika’s family were delighted that they would be returning somewhere that held a special place in their hearts.  Matt’s family and all their friends were excited too for an adventure somewhere new. Our American couple created a memorable experience for all who traveled so far to celebrate the day with them. From their romantic First Look in the Sunken Garden, a heartfelt ceremony in the Painted Room of Little Banqueting House, to the private tour of the Palace in the evening before enjoying dinner in the splendour of the King’s Eating Room. We absolutely loved capturing this special occasion for Erika and Matt!

Tracy and Grant’s paths first crossed when, while studying at different universities, they landed the same internship programme. Their relationship started as ‘just friends’. However, a few years later, when they were both asked to return to that same company as graduates it seemed possible something more was afoot. When Tracy took a year off to travel and spent most of that time travelling to see Grant, the two knew they had found something special! We loved getting to know Tracy and Grant on their engagement session in Castle Combe…

Their engagement session fell on an early Spring day with blue skies and blossoms just appearing.

Not only do they now live ten minutes down the road in the idyllic Wiltshire countryside.

Tracy and Grant are also saying I Do at The Manor House in Castle Combe next month!

Stephanie and Michael celebrated their wedding in spectacular style at Blenheim Palace. Their big day was recently published in one of the national wedding magazine too! Stephanie and Michael always knew they wanted a beautiful Queensberry wedding album, which would allow them to truly enjoy all their photographs. To reflect the size and grandeur of their wedding they opted for a spectacular 18 x 12 inch Duo design. Our couple opted for our biggest album size to accommodate the 117 images they had chosen. Many of which really showcase the majestic setting where they said “I Do”. Our Groom, being an expert in the jewelry industry, appreciated the exquisite craftsmanship of the Duo Design; each image being individually hand cut, mounted and framed on the page. To personalise their album Stephanie and Michael chose a luxurious Champagne leather cover embossed with their names. The result is rather breathtaking! We invite you to take a peek for yourself…

Laura and Rich’s Manor House Hotel wedding in the Wiltshire village of Castle Combe fell on a bright and beautiful February day. We always brag that we have the best clients and Laura and Rich were no exception. To prove this point we could list their many affable character traits, professional accomplishments and descriptions of how perfectly they fit as a couple and family. However the story of how Laura and Rich found their wedding venue reveals a side of their relationship we love the most! When Laura and Rich started searching for a place to get married they were not worried about practicalities such as geographical location, size, or architecture even. Their search was instead inspired by a more romantic notion. Our couple traversed the UK, visiting all the locations where their favourite movie Stardust was filmed, until they found the perfect place to say I Do! Their wedding day was just as sweet…

The morning of the wedding we met Laura at the Manor House Hotel.

Elegant details accented the day…

…She did so underneath a canopy of twinkling lights and an avenue of glowing candles.

Hand in hand our couple’s happiness was infectious.

Laura and Rich exchange heartfelt vows and promises…

…And savoured the moment they were declared husband and wife!

After the ceremony we headed straight outside with our couple…

…for romantic portraits in the last of the day’s winter light.

The terraced gardens elevated us into the soft and golden rays of the setting sun.

Laura and Rich added their own dash of magic.

The combination of light and love was inspiring!

After portraits the plan was to take a handful of formal family photos.

manor house castle combe winter wedding photo________P I NSite Image

With such fine weather and daylight still remaining we naturally chose to take these outside.

The joy of Laura and Rich with their children reflects the spirit of their happy celebration perfectly!

Jackie and Colin’s Queensberry wedding album in Gun Metal buckram is contemporary and city chic just like our couple! Their London wedding at Morden Hall was a contemporary interpretation of refined elegance. We love that their wedding album embodies this feel too. Jackie and Colin opted for a 12 x 12 inch Classic Flushmount album with their favourite 80 wedding photos from the day. Kodak Endura Silver Halide paper with its crisp detail suited the clean look of their wedding day. Our Bride is an Art Director for an advertising and design agency so had a clear idea of the aesthetic she wanted for their album. Jackie’s bold choice of Gun Metal for the cover, personalised with a paired back white cover motif, resulted in a stylish album finish. As a lovely extra Jackie and Colin also had two 7 inch replica albums made for each mom!
